I went pretty conceptual with this piece - Matryoshkas (Russian Nesting Dolls) symbolize a few things, one of which is change. So I researched other motifs that also symbolize change, for the decorations on most of the dolls - a phoenix, daffodils, moon phases, caterpillar, butterfly, Delta symbol, and a robin. 🦋🌙
This piece was kind of my Big Quarantine Painting, as I worked on it on and off from March to July, when I first felt inspired to take on a big project.
